How to start a pool service
Have you ever thought about starting up your own pool service business? Anybody from teenagers to the elderly can do this and work as much or as little as you want to create a stable source of monthly income. I have to warn you that it quickly becomes addictive and you will find yourself quickly taking on more accounts than you anticipated. After all, the money is very nice and who else gets to hang around beautiful swimming pools all day and get paid very well for it?
Time on my hands
I was semi-retired and looking for a way to make some spare cash when I began thinking about how to start a pool service route. The more I looked into it the better it sounded. This is one business that takes almost nothing to get started and after the first week I was already making a profit. Hot dang I was rolling in I thought! Seriously I was surprised at how easy it was and my business has been very good to me ever since.
Now for the bad part…
I made several blunders along the way. I had a hard time getting my first customers and I advertised the wrong way. To make matters even worse I hooked up with some bad customers who never intended to pay me at all from the start. This coupled with some competition that seemed to do everything right nearly crushed my business several times in the beginning. I wasn’t born knowing how to start a pool service, so I had to attend the ole School of Hard Knocks.
